His website was launched in late 2017, though it consists mostly of links to his social media and merch stores. Stauber first uploaded to YouTube on April 20, 2013. He is known for his VHS-aesthetic live-action, stop motion, and computer animated music videos-which contain strange lyrics and have been featured in a wide array of internet memes on YouTube and TikTok over the years. Tl dr The animation is not random wrestling footage.Jack Stauber (born April 6, 1996) is an American musician, animator, and internet personality born in Erie, Pennsylvania and currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's unclear exactly what has happened, but it is poetic. At the very end, when she jumps as high as she can and is coming down like a missile, he rolls aside, as if to save his life, and she detonates. She goes to greater and greater heights in doing it, jumping off the ropes to gain altitude, landing on his chest and then his face. She seems to be enraptured in pummeling him. We see the We see the multi-colored rainbow around her head, as well. She drags him to the center of the ring and falls on him repeatedly. At this point, the red wrestler seems to have fallen for the protagonist, as well. As the red fighter has him in a sort of choke hold and appears to be whispering to him, he inches toward the rope, getting his foot to it. We enter a dream state.īasically the protagonist loves getting beaten up, and his fans are appalled by his losing. Then, as the vocals of the song change in style, so does the style of the animation again. This matches closely, though not perfectly, the background vocal, "Ow, that hurt." The protagonist attempts to shake her hand, and she slaps it away. I was certain that the music video was made for the song, because it syncs so well. She does, too running in through ruby-red lighting, landing on the corner post, her sparkling cape flying over the crowd. He enters the ring as if for the first time, throwing off his cape. Then, he interprets everything that happens after this through his infatuation. He launches off of the ropes, locks his legs around the huge wrestler, and judo-throws her out of the ring. The protagonist slumps, defeated, but then is determined. And the love interest, the woman in red, also tags out. The teammate gets away and hurries over to our protagonist, who tags in. The chest of the teammate turns green, indicating the envy of the protagonist. He frantically reaches to tag in, hopelessly. A psychedelic halo appears around his head, indicating his infatuation and desire. She gets him in the corner and goes at him, executing professional wrestling slaps that mark up his entire torso. The teammate ineffectually attacks the love interest. Our protagonist looks at him in disbelief. And his teammate, perhaps thinking this smaller woman in red will be an easier foe, tags in. Her hand has left an impression of a heart on him. She smacks him on the chess so hard he reels and hits the corner post. Then she repels him, and he bounces on the mat. While this is going on, she reaches out her tremendous arm and tags her teammate. He attempts to knock her over, and she nearly absorbs him. Each scene does work.Ī male wrestler (our protagonist) is receiving weak, unfelt professional wrestling slaps from an enormous, pitch-black character. It is a very precise and efficient love story. How you think it is random, I can't understand. I have watched this animation over ten times of.
