![]() UPS is the only shipping method I will use. I will only ship to the continental United States only. Paypal is the only form of payment accepted. Thanks for stopping by! Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I was a shipping manager at a Music store for 6 years so I know how to ship amps. I'd probably ship it in two separate boxes (UPS only) both insured to insure it's safety to you. Local pickup is ideal and shipping is not out of the question, but make sure you realize this is pretty heavy. The amp without packing material is 75lbs. This amp is HEAVY so be warned shipping will be high if your on the east coast. See below for shipping details and insurance details. These amps are pretty rare these days, so don't miss out. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'll try to post a couple sound samples tonight so you can hear what this vintage workhorse can do. I actually found it better at tightening up the bass in the cab so I left it.I do have lots of other HQ pictures of the amp if your truly interested. As for the speaker cabinet, the speakers are still the original ones and I took out the old fiberglass insulation and put in organic cotton (shredded jeans to be exact) insulation. I tried to glue it down with rubber cement but it wasn't strong enough, so the new owner will either have to live with it or get stronger glue. The tolex is still in great shape besides the fact that there is a cigarette burn by the right side of the handle and the hyde glue is coming off of the back panel tolex (see picture 3). The Grillecloth is in great shape and has no major rips or tears. The 5th picture shows the date code from fender putting it at 1963. I decided not to take if off so it wouldn't ruin the tolex. As per picture 6, there is a spray painted stencil from the previous owner. The 6G7-A circuit also included a vibrato that is heralded as Fender's best by many enthusiasts. As you can see most of the original components are still there though (see pictures). "Blonde" aficionados feel this circuit has superior tonal characteristics when overdriven, to the AB763 circuit. ![]() The circuit was used from 1961 until July 1963 when the "AB763" circuit was introduced. Here is a little info on the circuit: 6G7-A The 6G7-A circuit was used in several Fender amplifiers, including the Bandmaster. I've kept it maintained and serviced regularly and have had to replace a coupling cap and the filter cap section and obviously tubes as they went bad. The amp has served me well over the last 8 years I've had my recording studio, but sadly I must close the doors to seek other business opportunites. These are one of the harder to find blonde ones. I actually bought this amp because of the vibrato! It sounds like a rotovibe or a slow leslie but warmer and more smooth. Rear: Ground Sw, Fuse (3A), Power Sw, Standby Sw, Speaker Jack, Ex.For Sale is a 1963 (see date table below) Blonde Fender Bandmaster (circuit 6G7-A), pre blackface, guitar amplifier.
